Corporate Case Study

Kingfisher PLC

Following the start of the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020, the interim Head of Infrastructure Services at Kingfisher PLC, James Hegan-Smith had noticed a lot of press coverage around disadvantaged children and their lack of access to technology. Additionally, he'd received some enquiries from individual schools and Kingfisher colleagues who knew of a school in need.

The Rhythm Practice

The Rhythm Practice is based in a bright and airy, private, upstairs room at The Pound Arts Centre in Corsham. Their newest project - Silverwood Creates Music has been supported by Wiltshire Digital Drive following the successful application for the loan of a MacBook.

Community Case Study

Black2Nature

Black2Nature was set up by Dr Mya-Rose Craig and campaigns for equal access to nature for all, concentrating on VME communities currently excluded from the countryside. Through an application for laptops, they're expanding the support available to their users and their community within some of the most deprived wards in Bristol.

Kumar S. is a single parent with 5 children. She and her family have been attending activities provided by Black2Nature for the past 2 and a half years. Kumar was one of many families who reached out to Black2Nature after they became aware of the support available from Wiltshire Digital Drive.

I just wanted to say thank you very much for providing a laptop for our Ukrainian guest. I was able to collect the device yesterday as I was passing Westbury, which has saved them a 30-mile round trip on Friday.

Our guest is so pleased with the laptop and cannot believe the generosity of the British people and the effort some people and organisations go to, to make life a little easier for them.

The laptop has made such a difference to me. In my role as a health care assistant, I was expected to do some training modules at home.

Before I had the laptop, I was trying to do them on my phone which was really difficult.
